Maria moved comfortably through to the third round at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells as she defeated Gisela Dulko of Argentina 6-2 6-0 in 66 minutes. This was Maria's second victory over Dulko this year and after dropping two games in the first set (including one break of serve) she dominated the second set to love. On Monday, Sharapova will play Simona Halep. Maria has never played the 20-year-old before.
