Maria was defeated by top seed Victoria Azarenka of Belarus in the final of the China Open in Beijing. Maria lost 3-6 1-6 in an hour and 27 minutes on the Diamond Court.In the WTA rankings to be released on Monday, Maria remains at No.2 with 9135 points. This is for the fourth time this season that Victoria Azarenka deprive Maria to a title, after the open Australia, Indian Wells and Miami this is the China Open.
Maria has been dominated by the Belarus 6 - 3 6-1 in 1h27min Azarenka began the drum beating, meeting well helped by doubles (six) and the unforced errors of Maria. I watched this match with my friends and it was just difficult to watch. We were cheering for Maria the whole way, and we really hope she makes it into the Australian Open this upcoming year.
